About Me

Dr. Richard Strain is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and the senior partner of the practice who specializes in the treatment of hip and knee arthritis as well as sports injuries. Dr. Strain has been practicing continuously in South Florida for nearly 30 years. A native of Davie, Florida, Dr. Strain attended Tulane University as an undergraduate and Vanderbilt University for medical school. His orthopedic residency training was completed through the Harvard University Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, and he received additional training in hip and knee replacements at Harvard University under Richard Scott, M.D., a pioneer in joint replacement surgery. Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Strain was previously the Chief of Sports Medicine at the University of Miami. Dr. Strain is also active in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Strain’s hobbies include farming and equestrian.
