Nate Scopac
Associate Director of International Strategy at Collins Aerospace
About Me
Nate Scopac is the Associate Director of International Strategy, responsible for developing
Collins Aerospace-wide international strategies for the Americas that support investment
decisions. Prior to that, he was a business development lead for helmet-mounted displays
and other related products. Mr. Scopac joined the Collins Aerospace team after a 25-year
career as a special operations pilot in the US. Air Force. Nate has extensive experience
working at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and at the Pentagon in the Air
Force acquisitions office. While in the USAF, he commanded an expeditionary special
operations aviation unit of over 40 aircraft and 500 people in Afghanistan and a US-based
training group that ran the gamut from flight and ground training to operational test and
education. He has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, and other locations and has
experience in 16 different military aircraft.
In his current position, Nate identifies and evaluates internal and external strategic issues
which could affect growth and profitability, develops long-range objectives, and plans, and
engages with strategy professionals and business leaders to define and test strategies and
ensure company-wide alignment.
Nate holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy and a
Master of Global Business Administration from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at
Tufts University. In his free time, Nate likes to play lacrosse with his son and daughter, help
his wife with her professional equestrian business, and fly his 60-year-old war bird low and
slow around the beaches of Florida.
